Registration Opens May 1, 2014 for the San Diego City Amateur Championship at Torrey Pines

The San Diego City Amateur Championships is one of the best and largest tournaments in San Diego.  The 2014 tournament is scheduled for Friday July 18th - Sunday July 20th.  The 54 hole competition takes place at Balboa Park Golf Course and Torrey Pines North and South.  Registration opens May 1, 2014 and closes June 27th.

Let me warn you that this tournament is nearly impossible to get into.  The Championships division takes only the 60 lowest handicaps.  I have played in this tournament 3 times, but only because I was called up from the wait list the night before, and I applied with a 1.3 handicap last year.

The Entry fee is $295 for the 3 days, and usually covers lunch on the last day.
